After careful consideration and in view of fish safety we have decided that the ‘Magic Twig’ is banned at both Lac Serrerie and Badgers Holt.

It is banned for the following reasons;

1  They need a 4,5 ounce lead to work efficiently, not really needed on either of our lakes.

2  If you snap off the fish is left towing this contraption which looks like a grappling hook.  It will easily become snagged and tethered on weed or any other debris.

3  If you snap off on the cast it remains loaded and fishing and far more likely to catch than any other type of ‘snapped off’ rig.

4  This will almost certainly tangle in the net causing serious mouth damage to the fish.
