It is banned for the following reasons; 1 They need a 4,5 ounce lead to work efficiently, not really needed on either of our lakes. 2 If you snap off the fish is left towing this contraption which looks like a grappling hook. It will easily become snagged and tethered on weed or any other debris. 3 If you snap off on the cast it remains loaded and fishing and far more likely to catch than any other type of ‘snapped off’ rig. 4 This will almost certainly tangle in the net causing serious mouth damage to the fish.
