Who says late season weeks are slow!!!

10 to 24 October 2020

A tough couple of weeks on Badgers Holt for our visiting anglers,  Cold temperatures, overnight frosts and lots of rain meant that the water temperature drastically dropped over the two weeks.

Steve and Chris ended their week with two carp to 42lb and unfortunately three losses.  Successful baits were a combination of the Serreire house boilies fished over Coppens pellet.

Vernon unfortunately got the worst of the weather and conditions during his week and returned home empty handed.  Truly gutted for him as i know he worked hard trying numerous tactics.

Hopefully as weather conditions again stable the fishing will improve.

3 to 10 October 2020

No anglers due to quarantine.

Adam, Ben and Sam were the latest visitors to Badgers Holt each fishing two rods.

They ended the week with five carp and four losses with a best of 53lb 5oz.  They also had two other near fifties at 49lb 12oz and 49lb 8oz and one of the elusive koi’s.

Well done on your first visit.

18 to 25 July 2020

Another tough week on Badgers Holt with temperatures in the 30s.

Three fish for Chris and Dan with a best of 58lb 12oz as well as one of the rarer koi’s.

All caught on the Serreire Crayfish and Squid house boilie over mixed house particle.

11 to 18 July 2020

Tough conditions again on Badgers Holt this week with high pressure and blistering temperatures.

Mitch and Dave however remained focused and were rewarded with six fish.  Their haul included 4 x 30s to 38lb, Arthur the cat at 82lb and one of the rarer koi’s at 27lb 11oz.

Mitch must like ‘Arthur’ as he has now caught him three years in a row!

Arthur says thanks for the bait and he will see you next year!

4 to 11 July 2020

What a difference a week makes!

Unfortunately for Dan he had to contend with high pressure and temperatures which made the fishing hard going,  In addition he was only able to fish until Thursday night due to a family emergency.

Despite these difficulties he still managed to tempt a personal best mirror of 63lb 12oz and lost another lump at the net.

Dan used his own boilies in conjunction with the Coppens pellet and house particle.

Congratulations Dan on your PB.

27 June to 4 July 2020

Congratulations to you both.

20 to 27 June 2020

It was a pleasure welcoming our first anglers to Badgers Holt this week.  Our German duo Artur and Martin didn’t have the best of conditions with high pressure and high temperatures but ended the week with four carp to 38lb and a loss.  Unfortunately the big girls evaded capture but ‘Arthur’ the cat did make an appearance at a best ever weight of 82lb.  Looking forward to seeing you both again in 2022.

End of March to 19 June 2020 – Closed due to Corona Virus.
