Welcome To Lac Serreire & Badger’s Holt – One of the premier carp fisheries in France. This stunning two lake complex, open since 2003, is set in the beautiful Limousin countryside just 20 miles south of the region’s capital Limoges.

Owned and operated by Richard & Lindsay, Lac Serreire is a truly special French carp fishing venue. We have two superbly stocked lakes available to fish. Lac Serreire itself is just under 20 acres in size and has an excellent stock of carp over 50lb. Badger’s Holt is the smaller of the two at 2.6 acres, but a renowned very big fish water with 2020’s average weight being around 44lb, the lake has a very large head of 60lb fish with a record of 79lb 14oz caught in 2017.

We run the lakes as true big carp waters for serious and experienced anglers wanting to catch some of the biggest fish available in truly stunning surroundings. 

Having carp fished for over 30 years, we have traditional ‘old school’ values and run the waters with this very much in mind; no overcrowding, no unnecessary rules and natural un spoilt surroundings.

Please note that Badgers Holt is not suited to inexperienced anglers. The fishing can be challenging. We say this because we don’t want anglers to be disappointed and we also want to minimise the risks associated with inexperienced anglers handing very large carp. If you are not sure then please call us for a friendly chat and we can advise.

All our bookings run from 1pm on Saturday to 10am the following Saturday and we are a drive-and-survive venue.
