2016 was another fantastic year for both lakes. The Badgers Holt record was broken again; this time by Alan Taylor with the famous mirror JoJo at 79lb 12oz. And Lac Serreire produced a never ending string of big fish throughout the year culminating with Tim Paisley landing mirrors of 78lb 13oz, 71lb 1oz and 61lb 1oz during one session at the end of October. The two seventies were landed consecutively making for an amazing brace and the bigger fish was also a PB for Tim. The 71 was a new seventy and the 61 a new sixty for the complex.

Tim Paisley Brace of 70s

Tim started the week with a massive 78lb 13oz mirror just 3 hours after starting fishing on the Saturday night. This was a PB for Tim and an amazing moment to share with him. The fish was caught from a traditional cast at about 80yds range. Tim then went on to catch a 71lb 1oz mirror from the same spot followed by a 36lb 8oz common and then a massive 61lb 1oz mirror to round the week off. The 61 was another new 60 and the 71 was a new 70 for the complex. Congratulations...
